Yes, even a couple weeks later, the food world is still salivating over the phenomenal foodie event, Pebble Beach Food and Wine 2009. I’m sure its because the bloggers that covered the event came back with so much material, its taken this long just to get it all sorted out! That’s my excuse anyway.

My head was spinning on the way back from Pebble Beach and it took a while to gather my thoughts.  When I realized all that I needed to share with you, I knew one long post wasn’t going to be enough; it would take at least 3!

In Part 1, I set the table for the event, giving you a visual of the location and the surroundings.  In Part 2, I dished out the details on the fabulous foods and beverages being served.  And now, with Part3, I’m sharing with you some videos and more photos that will make your mouth water.

Please keep in mind that during the event, my hands were sweaty and I was juggling plates, a camera, and a wine glass.  The videos and pictures that follow are far from superior and I’ll own up to it.  But I couldn’t have had a better time taking them! Enjoy! 🙂

Video

I took a couple videos to share with you but both pale in comparison to this one put together by Chef John of Food Wishes Video Recipes.  In his video, he does a great job of interacting with the chefs, in particular, getting descriptions of their creations.  This video was a treat for me because its from the Saturday Grand Tasting Tent; I went to the Sunday one.  It was nice (and a bit of a bummer!) to see what I missed from the day before.

What a great video!  Again, I have to give credit to Chef John.  I’m shamelessly syndicating his hard work.  Just to prove it, here’s my inferior video for comparison. 🙂

More Pictures

With my hands full of swag and the taste of the moment, I was totally surprised to find out I took a couple hundred pictures.  I used the best ones in Parts 1 and 2 but wanted to share a few of the rest.  Here are some of the ones I didn’t feature but wanted to share with you.  Click on the thumbnails below to browse the gallery.

Looking forward to 2010

I want to send another enormous thank you to the folks at Foodbuzz.  I’m so appreciative of the sponsorship that made this experience possible for me.  I’m already excited about heading back to Pebble Beach in 2010!

Until then, I’m going to enjoy these stories, pictures, and videos.  I’ll also be honing my skills as I recreate some of the delicious cuisine that I sampled.  Stay tuned…

  1. ha! yes, the Sobieski watermelon shot was so yummy and so easy to drink they should make it illegal. sadly, they didn’t have the recipe for this one available so i’ll have to “research” a bit to recreate it. once i get the proper mix i will let you know!
