This week, KCRW and Radio Disney are joining our Culver City neighbors to celebrate the opening of Westfield Culver City. The Westfield Group’s $180 Million transformation of Fox Hills mall brings a totally new look to the corner of Sepulveda and Slauson.
Bringing music and food together in a big way, the theme for the opening week is “Taste & Tunes”. Each day they’re featuring something special to delight your visual and tasting senses; the eye candy of the refurbished exterior and interior will be ongoing!
Monday, October 12 – Saturday, October 18
Activities include the KCRW Digital Music Lounge, featuring virtual live sessions from inside the KCRW studios, and entertainment in the new Dining Terrace during lunch and happy hour.
Wednesday, October 4
Radio Disney hosts an “After School Break” concert and Westfield Culver City will kick off their WFamily “Kids Eat Free” promotion, which is offered every Wednesday at participating retailers.
Saturday, October 17
Mayer Hawthorne will be playing a concert live at 3pm, presented by KCRW.
New Dining Destinations
With the remodel, several new options were added to the food court along with full service casual dining on site. New additions include BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, Manna Korean BBQ, and a few other ethnic fresh food spots in the Café-Style Dining Terrace. Additional restaurants and cafes are opening soon, such as Yen Sushi & Karaoke and Crème de la Crepe.
During Tastes & Tunes, customers who visit the Dining Terrace will receive a free scratcher card. Scratcher prizes include free drinks and food from the new vendors at Westfield Culver City. Shoppers are also encouraged to stop by the Westfield Gift Stop and enter for a chance to win a 50” Insignia plasma HDTV, a retail value of $1,199.99 (courtesy of Best Buy).
