Me So Hungry? If ever there were a more proper name for a food truck that would have to be it. I checked them out recently at the Century Blvd truck lot.

The Me So Hungry menu reads like a who’s-who of sandwich fillers: marinated short ribs, pulled pork, black Angus chuck, and fresh tuna salad are all available.
My first choice was the Cali Sliders featuring the Angus beef, apple-wood bacon, sauteed onions, and Gorgonzola cheese. Doing a menu-double take I finally decided on The Duke with its sirloin, onion rings, cole slaw, BBQ sauce, and bacon all served up on grilled cheese bread. Yowza!
Side dishes were perfect compliments to the burger. The sweet potato fries were nicely made; crispy and well seasoned. The highlight, though, was the spicy crème fraîche that came with the fries. It was the perfect amount of spicy, with an amazing Asian flavor that I couldn’t exactly place. The fries I was sharing quickly vanished as we kept going back in an attempt to figure out the complex flavor of the sauce.
The side of fried bananas was down right insane. Not as starchy as a plantain, these were your regular grocery store bananas taken to a whole new level. Dipped in a sweet batter, they were fried nice and crips and then topped with a honey sauce and powdered sugar. I dipped these in the spicy crème fraîche too for the best of savory and sweet. Off the chain!
If you’re looking for the right truck to feed your little monster, Me So Hungry Truck will tame them in no time.
If you’re a Carson Daly fan, Me So Hungry is getting a well deserved shout out by Mr. Daly himself as 97.1 Amp Radio’s pick for their weekly Food Truck Friday.
I am catching the next plane to LA! How long does the truck stay there? Yum, Yum,Yum!!!!
