On a recent trip to Boston, I came across the bright and cheery Bon Me truck.

The Food:

Its no secret that I am a fan of banh mi sandwiches. So it was a treat to come across this truck that was serving the Vietnamese dish that I hold so dear.
I was more hot and thirsty than I was hungry, though, and their drink menu was intriguing. Unfortunately, the drink that I wanted – the Spicy Ginger Lemonade – was sold out.

I still wanted something to cool off with so I ordered the Thai Basil Lemonade.

It was just what I needed. The lemonade was tart, tangy, and had the right amount of sweetness to it. The basil added a light, herby flavor that aplified the beverage’s ice cold refreshment. I was missing the ginger, but I was happy.
Next time I’m in Boston, I’ll have to check out their sandwiches!
