Great, informative post, Michael! We made it to the South Bay Food Fest – lots of trucks and other food vendors. It took us about an hour just to browse everyone and see what was there so we could make our choices. Perfect weather, too! Did you go to that event?
Yes! I made it to the Food Fest. Enjoyed the setting and layout. Didn’t seem to be too crowded or crazy. And yes, they had a very nice selection of trucks to choose from: some popular ones and some new ones too. Glad you made it out! Oh, what did you decide on!? 😀
I went with a penne pasta dish from Gaetano’s restaurant (not a truck, but it was too yummy to pass up), and my friend went with the Po Boy from the Shrimp Pimp truck. The shrimp were really delicious, and they packed a bunch of them into the sandwich. What did you get?
Yes! I saw the pasta from Gaetano’s (while I was getting ribs from 1321 next door!) and it looked tasty. The ribs won me over though. BBQ ribs are the one thing that I am hesitant to cook at home so when I see them — and I know they are cooked to be delicious — i eat them.
Shrimp Pimp is one of my faves! That po boy of theirs is a winner.
Along with my ribs, i tried the Olive Oil cake from the Greek restaurant’s tent, some Thai Iced Tea, and the Cucumber Lemonade also from 1321. I was too busy taking pictures to eat more. The gallery is coming up!
