Its that special time of year to celebrate the man of the house: Pops.  Padre.  The old man.  He’s known by many names but most of us just call him “Dad”.  Here are a few special events around the South Bay and beyond to help you find a special way to say thanks to the special dads in your life whether they be young or old, experienced or new.  Whatever the case, Happy Father’s Day!

Brunch and Prime Rib at Paul Martin’s El Segundo; June 19

Enjoy Paul Martin’s Prix Fixe brunch until 3 PM, which includes fresh baked blueberry bread with lemon honey butter, seasonal fruit, your choice of one entrée, and a beverage.  Paul Martin’s will also be serving their dinner menu all day, with entrees like the Bistro Burger with fresh ground angus, housemade pickles, black pepper aioli and the Hoisin Marinated Pork Medallions with sugar snap peas, shiitake mushrooms, ginger, garlic that are sure to be a hit with dad. Also available will be their signature Sunday Prime Rib Special which includes an organic green salad, all-natural prime rib with mashed potatoes, and housemade cookies and ice cream for dessert.

“Who’s Your Daddy” at Shade Hotel; June 19

This Father’s Day, Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach is treating dads to a BBQ feast! Featuring the best brews and BBQ of summer, the “Who’s Your Daddy” event will take place from 12-6 PM in the courtyard and include beer samples, unlimited BBQ, and entertainment for all ages. One lucky winner will receive a TaylorMade golf bag, donated by Golfsmith in El Segundo. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Richstone Family Center.

Father’s Day Weekend at Kincaid’s; June 18-19

Every guest dining during brunch or dinner at Kincaid’s during Father’s Day weekend receives a gift.  Don’t forget they also have happy hour every day from 3 -6 PM and 9 PM to closing.  Call for more info!

Sunday Drive & Beer Tasting at The Automobile Driving Museum; June 19

Known as the “the Petting Zoo of Car Museums”, visit the Automobile Driving Museum with dad for a ride in a classic car followed by a beer tasting.  On Sunday, June 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, The ADM is partnering with El Segundo Brewing Company so guests and their dads can enjoy a cold brew and a Sunday drive without getting behind the wheel.  A suggested donation of $10 per adult, $8 per senior, $5 children 11 and older is requested. Children under 11 free get in free.

BFD Father’s Day at the Counter; June 19

Any guest who announces to his/her server, “My Dad is a BFD” (with dad present, of course) will receive one standard 1/3-pound burger.  The Counter features customizable burgers, serving a wide selection of chef-created signature burgers, sides such as Parmesan Garlic Fries and Fried Dill Pickles, craft beers, and milkshakes.  BFD special available in all U.S. locations (excluding airports)only on Father’s Day June 19th, 2016.

Free Beers with Burgers at R10 Social House; June 18-19

Cheers to FREE Beers!  Dads get a free beer with a burger all Father’s Day Weekend at R10 Social House.  Stop by for brunch (10-3 PM), Social Hour (3 – 6 PM), or dinner.

Crawdad Boil at Rock ‘n Fish; June 18-19

Treat Dad to a seafood boil complete with crawdads (AKA crawfish), mussels, fish, potatoes, corn, sausage, and shrimp.  $29.95 covers dad’s dinner and includes an IPA beer.  Call for reservations and times.

Dad’s Day at Hey 19 Public House; June 19

Hey 19 will be serving a Chimichurri Steak & Eggs along with a Boilermaker (a beer and a shot of whiskey) for brunch on Father’s Day for just $19. Other brunch favorites include Fried Chicken & Waffles, Bloody Mary Bar, and plenty of cocktails. Brunch served 11 AM – 3 PM.

Father’s Day at The District by Hannah An; June 18 & 19

Chef/Restaurateur Hannah An is bringing some Vietnamese soul for Father’s Day weekend at The District by Hannah An with special offerings of Brunch and Dinner.  Treat dad to steak, whiskey, beer, and hand-crafted cocktails. Also on deck will be Hannah’s Szechuan Spice Brined Fried Chicken And Biscuit with buttermilk gravy & sunny-side up egg.

Furnace Creek Resort, Death Valley; June 17-19

Ditch the tie and socks this year and give Dad the Father’s Day gift he deserves with a weekend of hiking, biking, jeep tours or simply relaxing in the spring-fed pool at The Ranch at Furnace Creek. If Dad still wants a steak, he’ll be taken care of in the Wrangler Steakhouse.
