From breakfast to dinner, Island Eats Hale’Aina has Hawaiian food covered. Classic island fare — and a few fusion dishes — can be found on their menu at affordable prices.
Breakfast comes in early (7 AM on weekdays) with plenty of Aloha: egg plates, french toast, and the requisite Portuguese and Vienna sausages.
Lunch and dinner shine a new light on affordable lunches with protein bowls raging from $4-$6. Various preparations of beef, chicken, and pork are served over rice.
Grilled cheese sandwiches are a slight diversion from the typical Hawaiian menu but the love is easy to taste. The Grilled Cheese & Kalua Pork (pictured above, $4.40) is a clear winner. Cripsy, buttery bread encloses sharp cheese and a smoky, melt in your mouth pork.
Larger lunches and dinner can be found in the plate lunches: meats served with steamed rice, salad, and potato mac. Prices range from around $6 to almost $14 for Kahuku garlic and butter shrimp.
A variety of beverages including coffees, lattes, and mochas round out the menu.
