While I love to chase gourmet food trucks, I also happen to enjoy cooking.  Cookin’ Stuff in Torrance is my favorite store for picking up the latest cooking gadgets and I recently found out that they moved.

Their new location is on Sepulveda Blvd one block north of Crenshaw Blvd.  The new space has a nice, cozy feeling, unlike the cavernous warehouse in its previous location.  The new venue is not nearly as deep, but the width of the store more than makes up for it.  They are presently building out a dedicated kitchen where they will hold cooking demonstrations.

Inside the kitchen.
A spacious kitchen inside the store allows for effective cooking demonstrations.

I always disliked the sales counter in their previous location.  While you could talk to the sales staff, the inventory surrounding the counter made them appear inaccessible.  The new sales counter has a more approachable feel where you can comfortably have a conversation with the staff.

Cookin’ Stuff’s Grand Opening is on August 25.  The grand opening coincides with Cookin’ Stuff’s annual “Vendor Day”.  A number of vendor reps will be available to talk about their products and answer questions.  In addition, Executive Chef Jennifer Story from Cookin Thyme will be doing cooking demonstrations and answering questions.  There will be a fair number of “give-aways” and prizes, so  if you are into cooking, this is the event for you!
