A Banh Mi Recipe That Will Make You Say “Nom!”

Yay!  I made it to round two of Foodbuzz’s Project Food Blog competition.  In this round, I’ve been tasked with creating a classic dish from another culture.  I chose to make grilled pork banh mi, a Vietnamese style sandwich.

Fresh + Frozen = Buitoni Pasta Party

I have to give a big thanks to Foodbuzz and Buitoni for selecting me and the South Bay Foodies to host a pasta party featuring Buitoni Frozen Meals for Two.  It was fun paring their entrees with my own fresh veggies.  Read on to see my pairings and how everything turned out!

Pebble Beach Food and Wine 2009: Part 1 of 3

Wow.  In a word, that pretty much sums up the event.  If I had to be as concise as possible in describing the food and the experience, “wow” would pretty much do it.  I’ve been to some very nice food/wine tastings and PBFW – at least the Sunday afternoon Lexus Grand Tasting Tent which was the only event I attended – pretty much trumped them all.
